Director of High School Programs
Christian Zwickert has spent over 13 years coaching at the Division 1 and Division 3 levels at Providence College,Dartmouth College, Franklin & MarshallCollege and Drexel University as an assistant and at Wesley College andImmaculata University as head coach.
While at Wesley, Zwickert served as both the head lacrosse coach and Director of Intramurals. He authored a 42-34 (.553) record and four-straight winning seasons during his five-year tenure while qualifying for the conference tournament all five years. He was named the 2004 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Coach of the Year in his first campaign with the Wolverines. Zwickert also served as the PAC and Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) representative for the USILA Division III Coaches Poll from 2005 through 2008. He also served on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for Division III for three years.
Zwickert began his collegiate coaching career in 1999 as the assistant coach atProvidence College. While with the Friars, he served as both the offensive coordinator and goalkeeping coach. He also was involved in recruiting, fundraising and working with student-athletes in their academic progress.
Following his days at Providence, Zwickert was the head lacrosse coach atSalesianum High School in Wilmington,Del., in 2000. He returned to the college ranks in 2001 as an assistant coach atDartmouth College, where he handled various coaching duties.
In 2002, Zwickert moved to Franklin &Marshall College where he served as an assistant coach and the offensive and recruiting coordinator. The Diplomats finished as the ECAC South Region champions during his one season. He returned to the Division I level during the 2003 season as the special teams assistant coach at Drexel University.
Internationally, Zwickert was a former midfielder and attackman for the German National Team from 1998-2000 earning MVP honors 4 times. In 2001 Zwickert was named Head Coach ofGermany for the European Championships in Cardiff, Wales leadingGermany to a perfect 6-0 record andGermany’s first and only European Gold Medal. Zwickert served as a Tryout Coach in 2005 for the US National Team Tryouts for the 2006 World Games. Currently, Zwickert is the Head General Manager for the Polish National Lacrosse Team after serving as Head Coach for the team during the 2010 World Games. In addition, he serves on the European Lacrosse Foundation’s Coaching Group which helps standardize coaching requirements and programs for current and future European club and national teams.
Locally, Christian Zwickert has been involved in almost every facet of lacrosse in the state of Delaware. Zwickert played high school lacrosse atSalesianum School (’90). As a coach, he started youth lacrosse at YMCA, has been a head coach at 3 differentDelaware high schools (Delcastle, Salesianum and Sanford) and coached college lacrosse in Delaware (WesleyCollege). Outside of coaching, Zwickert has been a high school official, served as Co Vice President for the Delaware Lacrosse Foundation, has organized summer leagues and high school recruiting/fundraising tournaments.
Coach Zwickert has top level college coaching and recruiting experiences necessary to help high school players and their families navigate the recruiting, admissions and financial aid processes. The coaching staff that has been assembled will provide the program participant the necessary tools to increase level of play, skills, techniques, knowledge of the game to play college lacrosse.

Director of Youth Programs
A New York native, Kevin J. Dempsey enters his 20th season as President & CEO and coach of the Silverbacks Youth Lacrosse Association (formerly Newark Youth Lacrosse). Dempsey got his start in Lacrosse while on Long Island assistant coaching with the Huntington Boys Club where his son Kevin Michael Dempsey played his youth lacrosse. Through a job transfer taking Dempsey to Delaware, he became actively involved in the Delaware Youth Lacrosse Association serving as it’s first President from 1993 to 1996. He currently serves as Treasurer of the DYLA, a osition he has held since 2007. A former board member of the Delaware Lacrosse Foundation, Dempsey was inducted into the Delaware Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2003.
TRIBE Head Coach
A native of Long Island, Coach Dowell played 4 years at Massapequa High School earning All Conference and Most Improved Player honors her senior year. After high school Dowell played goal in field hockey and lacrosse for Ithaca College. Her senior year, Dowell led the Bombers to the Empire 8 Conference Finals.
A local youth coach, Dowell enters her 3rd season with the DLA and 2nd as Head Coach for the TRIBE High School Girl’s Travel Lacrosse Program.
